Tips On Early Retirement

Here at Cheapskate Living we see there is a great deal of interest in retiring early. We are going to be on the lookout for information about early retirement and will post whenever we find some helpful information.

Today I found an interesting aspect of early retirement I had not considered before. When you retire where do you plan on living? If you have a house and it is paid for, your decision may already be made. If you plan to move to another state you should consider the tax situation.  The state of Texas for instance has no state tax and but does have property tax. Some states have no property tax at all and some have all kinds of taxes. In an article in MSN money I even found mention that North Carolina and Florida have an intangibles tax which has something to do with your investments.

Cheap Dental Solution To A Common Problem – Teeth Grinding

One morning I woke up and my entire mouth ached. It seemed like every tooth hurt. Ibuprofen helped a little bit but I was really suffering. I called my mom because what else do you do when you are hurting. She has a good friend who is a dentist. I spoke to her friend the dentist and she told me I was probably grinding my teeth at night. She suggested I go to a sporting goods store and purchase a mouth guard. People who play contact sports use mouth guards. You can buy them for a dollar or two. You soak the mouth guard in hot water and then put it in your mouth so it fits to the shape of your mouth. I put the mouth guard in my mouth every night before I went to sleep and in a few days the pain was gone.

Free Office Software for Home and Business

Free Office Software For You!

If you’re like me, you made a break frome expensive office software when your computer crashed, and you lost the long key to reinstall. Somehow the only way you could get your popular, brand name word processer back was to purchase something you had already bought. I started looking around and found tons of high quality, name brand office software that is free to download and install, very reliable, and that generates documents that are compatible with Microsoft Word .doc documents and some that even generate Adobe .pdf files!

Save Money At The Grocery Store

When I mention save money at the grocery store the first thing that comes to mind is using coupons. Coupons are a great way to save money but that is not the only way to save money.  Here is a quick list of ways to save when  you shop for food.

1. Don’t go shopping hungry – I know it sounds silly but when you’re stomach is empty you tend to purchase more food than you need. Plus, you may purchase something to eat at the store instead of eating at home where it’s cheaper.
