Save Money On Paper Towels – Shamwow Review

Paper towels can be expensive to use. We use so many of them and sometimes the cheap varieties don’t work all that well. They are very convenient but that convenience comes at a cost. I am not advocating never using paper towels but I think you can save money by sometimes using a re-usable towel. By using a re-usable towel you can save wear and tear on your regular towels also. I know my bath towels and dish clothes last much longer if I can reduce the number of times I need use them and hence wash them. Now this particular re-usable towel I am talking about is a chamois type towel. I have two towels similar to this towel that I purchased years ago that are quite similar to the Shamwow towels detailed in the advertisment. I have washed these towels a bunch of times and they look exactly the same as the day I purchased them. Now, I don’t mind telling you I paid a lot more for them ($20.00 for the bath size and $15.00 for the hand towel size) than the Shamwow towels are selling for.

Homemade Cleaning Products Save You Money

Expensive household cleaning products can add a tidy sum to your grocery bill plus they are not always the greatest for the environment. Well, the book “Saving Money with the Tightwad Twins:  More Than 1000 Practical Tips for Women on a Budget” by Ann Fox and Susan Fox has some great suggestions. The twins have some very good recipes for homemade  cleaning products. The syndicated column Hints From Heloise also contains many recipes for homemade cleaning products.

All purpose household cleaner – Mix ½ cup white vinegar, 1 cup ammonia, ¼ baking soda and 1 gallon water.
