How to Make Snow Paint

I found these instructions on how to make snow paint while I was looking for cheap Christmas gift ideas. What a great idea! I grew up in the Midwest and though I made snow angels and snowmen, I never did this but it sure sounds like fun.

Follow these instructions and have fun with snow:

1. Fill squeeze bottles with water.
2. Add a few drops of food coloring to each one.
3. Shake until well mixed.
4. Add more food coloring to darken your colors, if desired.
5. Then, screw the lids back onto the bottles, and send the kids outside for some snow painting fun.

To make the activity last longer let the kids spend some time inside making some custom colors by combining the different food colorings together.

For a cute winter gift idea you can make snow painting kits by packaging empty squeeze bottles with containers of powdered or liquid food coloring. There are a lot more colors available now in food colorings. I have seen neon colors as well as the usual primary ones.
