Climbing Out of A Financial Nightmare

Second Chance CreditOne of my favorite blogs, Bad Credit Blues, has just posted a real story of a woman who picked herself up from a financial nightmare and re-established good credit after a couple of years. These are honest tips on real ways to improve credit scores and ratings.

This particular story is about a woman who lost a business, her home, and then had to declare bankruptcy. But after dropping below 600, she had moved her credit score up over 700 by sticking to a sound plan. In the process, she still progressed in other areas of her life. She started another business, but this time she did it in a much more cautious and frugal way.  This does not mean that she avoided credit either, but instead she used credit wisely this time in order to establish a good credit history. She started with a Credit Card To Establish Good Credit.

We talk a lot about living frugally and not getting into trouble in the first place, but the reality is that smart and good people do make mistakes. It is hard to accomplish anything at all in life without making some mistakes. But what I like about this story is that mistakes do not have to be permanent disasters. We can change when we need to, or at least some of us can.
