I did one thing that did not reduce my quality of life at all. The thing is, I had the same car insurance company for years and probably would have renewed forever. However, I did need to replace my old car with a new model (lol – a 12 month old deal from a rental company by the way!), and when I called in to check on my payment, I was asked if I had a minute to get a car insurance quote!
Well, I had a moment, and I’m glad I did. I was transferred to an agent who ran comparative quotes for the exact same type of car insurance I already had. The price was $50 a month cheaper, and it was also from a well known national company just like my old one was! Insurance is a competitive business, and it never hurts to compare insurance quotes.
I think that online quote forms are very handy. It usuallly takes about 4 minutes to fill out the form, and for that sort amount of time, you get to sit back and let top companies deliver their best rates. Look for third party verification like the Better Business Bureau or National Ethics Check, and a quote form that runs on a secure server.
