No Physical Life Insurance

We see a lot of buzz for simple issue term life insurance with no physical required. This sounds great because you can apply online and don’t need to take the time to meet with medical examiners or schedule a doctor’s appointment. You can a lot of companies making an offer like this, and they do advertise very affordable rates.

However, if you skip the life insurance exam and see a term life insurance offer for $35.00 a month, imagine how cheap those rates would be if you took the trouble to give the life insurance company the information they need to offer you a preferred rate! See, insurance companies will reserve their best rates for individuals who provide the most information!

If you are fairly young and healthy, and you are looking for a small policy of say, $100,000, then the price may not be that different. However older people, and those who are looking for very large life insurance policies, will begin to see a wide price gap between accepting a standard no-physical life insurance rate and qualifying for a super-preferred rate, or whatever the companies are calling it these days.



Think about a 30 year term life insurance policy. What if the price difference saved you $12 a month? That is 12 times 12 months times 30 years! So would taking a fifteen minute para-medical exam in your home, or even spending an hour visiting the doctor’s office be worth over $4,000 to you? No wonder the life insurance companies push no medical exam life insurance so hard.

Keep in mind, that if you have some minor health problems, smoke, or tip the scale a bit too much, you will not qualify for those cheap rates anyway and might as well price term life insurance without a physical. However if you are healthy, and have a healthy lifestyle, then you should probably consider going ahead and getting the physical. It can save you thousands!
