How To Unclog a Garbage Disposal


Here is another easy way to save money – learning to do your own simple household repair. Now, I don’t mean putting in a new floor or floating sheet rock or whatever it is they call that. I mean the real simple stuff like patching a small hole or unclogging a toilet.

I had to unclog a toilet just last week and I was worried I would have to call a plumber. It took longer than I expected but I got it done in less than an hour. So you can do it and it isn’t as hard as you think. As a matter of fact after I was done, I felt kind of proud. Thought about even posting it on Facebook but then I thought maybe not…

Fun with Snow


How to Make Snow Paint

I found these instructions on how to make snow paint while I was looking for cheap Christmas gift ideas. What a great idea! I grew up in the Midwest and though I made snow angels and snowmen, I never did this but it sure sounds like fun.

Follow these instructions and have fun with snow:

1. Fill squeeze bottles with water.
2. Add a few drops of food coloring to each one.
3. Shake until well mixed.
4. Add more food coloring to darken your colors, if desired.
5. Then, screw the lids back onto the bottles, and send the kids outside for some snow painting fun.
